Recently, I received a link to a video on You Tube. After watching this video, I felt very insulted, disrespected and offended. The video was made by a girl who accused me of tracing, which was the biggest insult. So I am here to set things straight, and if you don't believe me, then don't. I am here to defend myself.
First off, the reason why I draw so much of Mike's pictures is because I'm infatuated with his style. I have been following him in his footsteps for 12 years. In fact, if it wasn't for Michael and his colorist Peter Stiegerwald, I would most likely be doing something I don't like. As I have said many many times before I WOULD NEVER EVER TAKE ANY CREDIT FOR MIKES ART. I just add my touch to it weather its different lighting angles, add color or turn a colored picture into black and white.
This is my way of showing how much I admired his work. And some people think that it's disrespectful. But it's like they say, "Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery". I am more than just a fan of his work. When people look at my sketch books and drawing portfolios, I always make sure to let them know that Mike did it. I'm just a fan who finds joy in his artwork. So please, before you accuse me of tracing or call me a fake, maybe you need to know a lot more about me. I sure as hell know I am not the only one who's done fan art of Mike's original work. I would really hate it if I need to bring Peter Stiegerwald into this. He KNOWS just how much of a fan I am. This makes me so sick that anyone would even accuse me of something so cheap...
